Tower Hamlets BAME Network

The Limehouse Project and Women’s Inclusive Team are jointly working to develop and coordinate the first-ever BAME Network in Tower Hamlets. The aim of the Network is to raise the profile of the local BAME communities, share ideas and explore current issues. We aim to build a strong and supporting Network and become a resource for local BAME communities.

Membership of the Network is open to local BAME residents, local BAME organisations, and other registered groups.

We will arrange quarterly meetings of the Network, produce quarterly newsletters, organise events and other opportunities for learning and development.

We aim to support 4 Tower Hamlets residents from BAME backgrounds to develop leadership skills. The Network will listen and collect views and suggestions and feed into the corporate and other policy-making forums within LBTH to bring about sustainable changes and address issues faced by the local BAME communities in Tower Hamlets.
